Generations at Hand
Generations at Hand is an oil painting on canvas of my nana's hand, my mom's hand, and my own hand. I chose to create this piece because I have always had a strong relationship with both my mom and my nana, and all three of us have the same rings that have been passed down for many generations. I have always liked using oil paints, and my mentor artist, Tjalf Sparnaay, inspired me to use oil paints on canvas. My nana’s hand on the bottom represents that she is the foundation of my family. I spent most of my childhood with my nana and she has always supported me and my mom. Through this project I hope to convey the relationship that we share.
