Stained Glass Candleholders

My Senior Art Thesis was a great and personal challenge. I made a series of stained glass candleholders that consisted of five multi-colored, 3-D flowers. The flowers rotate on a mirrored lazy susan. Each flower represents something different: the large flower in the middle symbolizes the future, the four small flowers that rotate around the perimeter represent each year of high school. I was inspired by Molly Severns, a stained glass artist who makes home decorations and gifts. After looking at Severnís work I designed my own home decoration that reflected on my years at Mount Alvernia.
